Singapore was really amazing. I love travelling and everything over there was so much fun. I even got to do the Star Driver maidens shoot that I've wanted to for uuh...ever. A big thanks goes to *chibifiedkitsunes for helping out with so much of my trip and organisation, and a lot of love goes to the other Singaporeans and Australians that made the trip everything that it was. <3
After I got back from Singapore, I had a bit of difficulty finding a new job as I didn't want to stay in hospitality. I'd been trying for months to get into photo editing, and when that didn't seem to be going anywhere, I turned to my costuming skills. I did have some success with applying for costuming jobs, but not before I was called into a photo studio for a trial. 11 weeks later, I'm still at the studio and am really enjoying it. I now work as a digital retoucher/colour corrector for real estate properties. It doesn't sound very interesting, and when I started, I didn't think it would be, but I am enjoying it, and am settling into the workplace, though I still haven't figured out how to balance full time work with the rest of my life. =/ I started a tumblog on some things that happen at work, if anyone's ever interested: Ctrl+zed

On the con/cosplay side of things. I've only made one costume this year - Flame Princess for MelbNova Sunday, which was a pink day? It's not that I don't want to make things, I just don't have a lot of time to, and I've been working on sorting through the growing pile of cosplay and sewing related things that I've gathered over the years.
Though for the rest of the year, I'll be going to these cons:
OzComicCon - Lilith (Teahouse)
SMASH - running the cosplay panel with *FataleKnights
Main Animania (Sat) - seeing OVO on Sunday
and tentatively BrisNova, though I'm not 100% certain.
I'm not sure what costumes I'll be making as I still haven't perfected my time management, but this full time job has meant that I can achieve some bigger things that I've been wanting to do for years - like finally visiting the US/Canada. I'm very happy to say that in just over a year's time, I'll be going to California, Vancouver and Toronto. I really hope everything works out. If things do, I'll be going to either Fanime or AnimeNorth. But we'll see! Even though it's still a year away, I'm really excited about going new places.
Oh also! If anyone has book recommendations for me, I'd appreciate it! I've gotten back into reading this year, which has been really great. So far I've read Sherlock, Tipping the Velvet, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay and The Night Circus. I'm working my way through a small true crime book at the moment, but I would love to hear of people's favourite reads.
